Summer was almost over and I had only a few days left to enjoy the freedom before it was back to school and back to responsibilities. I decided to take a day to myself, go for a drive and take some photos. After filling up a tank of gas, I started heading east towards a huge, building supercell. I ended up getting caught in the crazy storm and watched the hail and rain pass at a park.
After things cleared up, the sun came out and made for some great hiking weather. I found this little park that had hundreds of prairie dogs (their "bark"made me laugh). I then found my way down to Fountain and visited one of my favorite nature preserves and finally made my way back up to the Springs. Overall it was a great day of exploring and relaxing. Note to self: Enjoy more of these days now and then.
